My primary reason for becoming Focus’ Chairperson is the motivation to ‘give something back to the community’ and to use my background and expertise to make a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of the people supported by Focus. As a senior public servant I was actively involved with public housing, supported and homeless accommodation and Indigenous housing. Among my many roles, I am a founding director of Livable Housing. The aim of Livable Housing is to develop design guidelines to improve accessibility to new housing, particularly for people with disability.
