FOCUS’ EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

What is the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?

Focus has a Memorandum of Understanding with Relationships Australia to provide independent counselling services for Focus staff through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Focus offers you the EAP free of charge. This gives you a confidential place away from your workplace to talk about concerns you are having at work or at home.

All arrangements for you to access and participate in the program are kept strictly confidential.

How can EAP help you?

Experienced counsellors can assist with issues such as:

• Stress and fatigue
• Couple and family issues
• Separation and divorce
• Conflict and harassment
• Addictions
• Anxiety and depression
• Bereavement
• Financial difficulties
• Work and career problems
• Adjustment to organisational change

How can you access counselling?

Your request to access counselling can be made by contacting Tina Siver or Torrien Lau to obtain a letter of referral. Your request to access counselling will be kept strictly confidential and Relationships Australia will not provide any information about your sessions to Focus. After your counselling has been completed Tina or Torrien will meet with you to ask whether or not you have benefited from the counselling.

How do you make an appointment?

Simply contact Relationships Australia on 6122 7100 to make an appointment, make sure you tell them that you are a Focus staff member and take in the letter of referral to your first appointment.
