The Focus Supported Living Foundation (FSLF) teamed up with Open Gardens Australia to host a wonderful day out in the country at the historic property ‘Werriwa’ in Bungendore and the results were an outstanding success!
Thanks to the generosity of the Conroy family, who offered their gardens for the fundraiser and to the many people who visited over the weekend, the Foundation raised over $4,000.
Focus Board members, staff, families and friends all volunteered at the gates, working on various stalls and selling raffle tickets over the over the weekend. We are immensely grateful to the Conroy family and to all the friends, Focus Board and staff who gave so generously of their time to help.
And thank you to all who attended this wonderful event – without your support, the event would not have been possible.
A special thanks to Lynda McIntosh the FSLF Chair, who spent many, many hours of her time planning this event. Focus appreciates the fantastic work Lynda does throughout the year for the Foundation to continue its work.
Funds raised by the Foundation go towards providing financial assistance for people supported by Focus. The Foundation provides assistance for people to attend the annual International Day for People with Disability (I-Day) celebrations; participate in exercise and wellbeing classes; attend art classes; take a holiday; buy much needed clothing and more.
